The Birth of a Dolphin

In these days of death and hate - take off three minutes to watch the incredible birth of a dolphin! Thanks, Dina, for sending me this YouTube!

Which activities have you used? What went well?

Please comment here as to which activities, suggestions and sites  you've found useful  to use with your classes during this period of online learning.

If you've downloaded activities from Shirley Burg's Site - from the "National Security - Stay at Home Activities" -  please tell us which ones, and if they went over well. We are always looking to improve.
As for a nice Getting-Out-Aggression - While- Learning activity - how about blasting away letter bubbles?
Popping things - blasting them away - gives everybody a good feeling! Here are two phonics sites - good for sound/letter  correlation (our Alphabetic Principle)

Feelings: From Anxiety to Frustration, from Hope to Happiness

Dear Teachers,
You are invited to share your feelings and to comment on each others' feelings... you can do it incognito.
I, for one, not having little kids at home to worry about, feel more frustrated and mad than frightened. I'm mad that we can't lead normal lives like our colleagues (or relatives) in other parts of the world. I'm frustrated that every time we seem to be "getting it together' it all falls apart again...
And - if we're talking professionally - how can we be expected to do a "Meitzav" when our entire emotional being is drained in other areas? If this is how we feel - think how our students feel!

Once Upon a Time....

Once upon a time, Be'er-Sheva looked like this...
Well - we've come a long way, brother!

Once upon a time we were surrounded by vast expanses of dry desert...
Now - we have  the world at  our fingertips...
Once we slowly trudged along, days on end, sitting on our camels to get from place to place...
Now we can go anywhere in the world in the time it takes to click...
Once we dreamed...
Now we can realize our dream

We can think out loud, discuss and share ideas without even being in the same room
and we can do it right here - in this blog!
